Battery Run-time
This is an admittedly quick-and-dirty look at battery run-time. Not “life”. Battery life is life-and-death – can it be charged or not. Run-time is how long it will power the laptop once it has been charged. </soapbox>
In the below tests I let things run long enough for the “gas gauge” to settle – usually after the charge level had dropped by one or two percentage points. The results are remarkable, but I have not actually kept the laptop in use long enough to fully discharge the battery. YMMV.
